About the Program

“We’re not interested in how well you know how to do something. We’re interested in why you do it, who you do it with and what you do it for.”

Type of organization: Educational and social foundation

Who are we?

The Uramanta Social Foundation was born from the heart of need. “Uramanta”, in Quechua, means “from below”, reflecting our mission: to accompany children and young people in vulnerable situations from the depths of their reality, offering them education, support and tools for life.
We work in neighborhoods of migrants from the countryside to the city, where violence, school dropout and lack of opportunities are part of everyday life. Our work is based on love for education, life and human dignity.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for volunteers committed to social change. People who understand that real transformation is a process and not an immediate impact; who know how to listen, live together and work with respect and sensitivity. It is not necessary to be an expert, just to have attitude, heart and willingness to learn.

Activities carried out by volunteers:
