About the Program
Mission: To shelter children and their families in situations of maximum vulnerability and social risk, offering comprehensive support and opportunities for human and educational development.
Vision: We aspire to a more just and equitable society, where all people, especially those in situations of extreme vulnerability, can build a dignified life, with access to health, education and emotional support.
Type of organization: Foundation for education, medical support and social development for people in vulnerable situations.
Who are We?
Fundación Casa de los Niños is a non-profit organization that provides support and care to children and families in vulnerable situations, especially those affected by HIV/AIDS, children with motor disabilities, autism and in situations of abandonment.
How was the organization born?
The organization was founded in Cochabamba as a response to the need to provide school support to children affected by HIV/AIDS through the “Escuelitas de Paz” project in 1993. In 2007 we acquired our own infrastructure and obtained legal status, which allowed us to expand our work with a focus on values and community support.
