About the Program

Mission
To provide protection, support and educational opportunities to children and adolescents at risk, so that they may live a dignified childhood, free of violence and with access to their fundamental rights.

Vision
To build a more just, inclusive and supportive society, where all children are respected, valued and can develop fully, being protagonists of their community.

Type of organization: Foundation for educational and social support in highly vulnerable communities.

Who are we?
Fundación Bolivia Digna is a non-profit organization that works with children and adolescents in vulnerable situations in the city of Cochabamba. Through community projects, it seeks to provide a safe, educational and affective environment to strengthen the personal and social development of minors, promoting dignity, rights and mutual respect.
This foundation promotes joint work between local and international volunteers in informal educational spaces located in peri-urban areas where there are multiple risk factors such as extreme poverty, violence, malnutrition, abandonment and family disintegration.

How was the organization born?
Fundación Bolivia Digna was born as a solidarity initiative aimed at combating injustice and child abandonment in marginalized sectors. Since its foundation (2006), it has worked with the commitment to restore the value of childhood through education and community participation. Its first projects are consolidated in areas of Sacaba, such as the Mercado Campesino de Arocagua and the community of Takholoma.
